Scholarship each year (K1 Level): The student applying for this scholarship must be a domicile of West Bengal 2. She should be unmarried 3. Student’s family income should be less than or equal to Rs. 1,20,000 per year 4. The student should be between 13 and 17 years of age 5. The female student must not turn 18 as this would make her ineligible for yearly scholarship benefits, and she would only be able to get a one-time benefit 6. The female student must be enrolled between class 8 to 12th standard in Government recognized regular or equivalent school or equivalent vocational or any other technical training courses 7. The family income limit will be varied under the following situations: The student is already a recipient of the scholarship and will be applying for a renewal of the  benefit students parents (both father & mother) are the deceased student is physically handicapped.

Grant once only (K2 level):The student submitting an application for this award must reside in West Bengal. When she becomes 18 she should not be married. Families of students should earn no more than or equivalent to Rs. 1,20,000 annually. The female candidate student must be enrolled in and regularly attending a higher education or training facility. Only the following circumstances allow for a change in the family income requirement for female applicants: Parents of the student (both parents, father and mother) are deceased; student has a physical disability.

(K3 Level) Kanyashree Scholarship:The K3 plan would only be open to pupils who have signed up for the K2 programme. There is no upper age limit for applicants. The candidate must have earned at least 45% on their undergraduate examination. They must have applied for admission to any university's postgraduate programme.
 

Details of Kanyashree Scholarship Recipients :

In this plan, the following people will be chosen:

  1. Each year, West Bengal provides a one-time gift to over 3.5 lakh females.
  2. Girls who turn 18 on or after April 1, 2020, are eligible for the one-time award.
  3. Girls frequently enrol in schools for education or vocational or sports training. Every year, almost 18 lakh female students receive scholarships.
  4. girls between the ages of 13 and 19 from households earning up to Rs. 120,000 annually.Girls at child care facilities licenced under the J.J. Act who are between the ages of 18 and 19.

About WB Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme:

A conditional cash transfer scheme has been launched by the Department of Women Development and Social Welfare, Government of West Bengal (DWD AND SW), with a view to improve the condition and well being of the state.
